Spurwink School Committee reactivated

The Spurwink School Committee, charged with recommending uses for the former school house and library building next to the Thomas Memorial Library, is back in service.

The Town Council on Aug. 14, 2017 voted to reactivate the committee under new staff support since the departure of Facilities Director Greg Marles. Perry Schwarz, appointed facilities director earlier this summer, will assume responsibility as staff liaison.

One of the Town Council's goals for 2017 is to act on a report from the Spurwink School Committee, which was due in February. The committee last met on Nov. 9, 2016.

The term of the committee was extended to Dec. 31, 2017.
