The Town of Cape Elizabeth's Energy Committee, the Gulf of Maine Research Institute (GMRI), and Greater Portland Council of Governments (GPCOG) invite you to join them for a presentation on sea level rise and flood hazards at the Thomas Memorial Library on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Dr. Hannah Barnes, a Coastal Scientist from GMRI and a member of the Maine Scientific and Technical Subcommittee, will be in attendance to discuss the latest sea level projections, the coastal storms from this 2024 winter, and what this means for future flood risk in Maine.  There will also be an opportunity to discuss the impacts witnessed locally in Cape Elizabeth and concerns for the future.

This presentation supports the GPCOG Climate Action Plan process for the Town of Cape Elizabeth.  This event is open to the public. No registration is required.
