The School Board voted 5-0 in the adoption of their FY2024 budget goals for the Cape Elizabeth School Department during the Tuesday, January 10, 2023, board meeting.  The five approved goals have been carried over from the previous year's and include:

1. Meets the academic, social-emotional, and health needs of all students.
2. Supports recruitment and retention of high-quality personnel.
3. Supports appropriate and on-going building maintenance and repair.
4. Supports the advancement of instructional skills for our staff.
5. Reflects a careful consideration of the effectiveness and efficiency of each line item and position.

The School Board and Town Council will hold a joint budget workshop at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18 in the council chambers.  This meeting will be streamed on CETV LIVE and available for on-demand viewing within two days on CETV On Demand.  

The School Board will begin reviewing the FY2024 budget at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24 at the Cape Elizabeth High School Library.  This is a special board meeting and workshop which will not be streamed live, but will be available for on-demand viewing on CETV On Demand one to two days after the workshop.
