Neighboring Scarborough has again invited Cape Elizabeth residents to participate in the sixth annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner To Go on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 for curbside pick-up. The meal is free and includes a traditional holiday menu of roast turkey, sides, and dessert served to-go family style.
The event is hosted by the Scarborough School Nutrition Program, Scarborough Community Services, local nonprofit Project GRACE, and various other local groups. Peter Esposito, the Director of Nutrition for both Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth schools, said last year more than 1300 meals were prepared and distributed to residents of Scarborough, South Portland, and Cape Elizabeth.
The Cape Elizabeth Community Services and Police Department are working together to take orders and distribute meals. Orders and reservations are being taken online through November 17 at 3:00 p.m. via the following link Thanksgiving Dinner To Go or by calling Cape Elizabeth Community Services at 207-799-2868
