Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Cape Elizabeth High School for the state primary and referendum election, and Cape Elizabeth school budget validation.

Requests for absentee ballots may be made in writing up to and including Election Day. Online and telephone requests not available after 5 p.m. Thursday, July 9.

Voters enrolled in the Democratic and Republican parties will be selecting primary candidates for U.S. senator and representative to Congress, and for state Legislature. Democrats will choose a candidate for register of probate, and will rank choices in three-way races for state senator and U.S. senator.

All voters – whether enrolled in a political party or not – are eligible to vote on a state bond-issue referendum; and, to validate the $28.5 million school budget approved by the Town Council for fiscal 2021. [news article
