The Town of Cape Elizabeth's TABOR Task Force has created this special section
for information on the task force's work to educate citizens, and to plan
for possible passage, of the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights citizen intitiative
scheduled for vote on Nov. 7, 2006.
A video-recording of an Oct. 22 panel discussion, featuring opponents and
proponents of TABOR, and sponsored by this Task Force and the Thomas Memorial
Library, will be broadcast on CETV cable Channel 3:

Elizabeth?" has been published and may be downloaded by clicking
the link. The report will also be mailed to Cape residents in the Oct. 21
Cape Courier.
The information on the Tax Payer Bill of Rights contained below is not
meant to advocate a position for or against TABOR. This information was provided
to the Task Force by Bill Becker of the Maine Heritage Policy Center and
Larry Benoit of Citizens United to Protect our Public Safety, Schools, and
Communities.
