Ordinance committee to review proposed Village Green zoning-ordinance amendment Dec. 17

The Town Council's ordinance subommittee will hold its first meeting of the council year on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Jordan Conference Room and Town Hall. The main focus of the meeting will be review of the Village Green Amendment.

The Village Green Amendment was one of seven recommendations from the 2014 Town Center Plan. After unanimously adopting the plan, the Town Council initiated several implementation steps, including referring the Village Green Amendment to the Planning Board. The Planning Board reviewed, expanded and refined the amendment and recommended it to the Town Council in September.

Public comment is allowed at ordinance committee meetings. Once the ordinance committee makes a recommendation to the Town Council, a public hearing will be scheduled by the Town Council prior to any vote to consider adoption.
