After interviewing semifinalist candidates for superintendent of schools, the School Board has decided to reopen its search.
"Although we interviewed several quality candidates with diverse skills from top-notch schools around the country, we just did not find the right match for the district at this time," School Board Chair Mary Townsend said in a press release.
After discussing and reviewing the first round interviews, held March 12 through March 24, the School Board unanimously agreed to reopen the search immediately.
Search consultant Jackie Roy will assist in the reopening for no additional fee, Townsend said.
Applications and information are available at www.capeleadershipsearch.com. Information is also available from Roy, 508-398-7527.
Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 25, 2011. (please note change in date)
"As a board, we enjoyed meeting each of these candidates and appreciated their unique experiences in education and their interest in leading our schools," said Townsend. "The School Board remains deeply committed to recruiting exceptional leadership for our district, and we are confident that the many strengths of our schools and community will continue to attract high quality candidates."
