All Recycling Center Permits are issued at the Recycling Center on Dennison Drive. The permit consists of a small, pre-numbered window decal. Permits allow residents use of the Recycling Center for deposit of refuse in the hopper; recyclable materials in designated areas (some fees apply); and access to the Swap Shop.

Individuals must provide proof of residency (seasonal or year-around) to the attendant. Company or leased business vehicles, not registered in the Town of Cape Elizabeth, will not be eligible for a window decal. Decals will be affixed to each vehicle by Cape Elizabeth employees only. Decals will be placed on the inside, lower, driver's side corner of the front windshield. Permits are checked regularly by the attendants and must be visible. Contractors bringing in brush, demolition material, metal goods, and wood waste must provide proof that the material was generated within the Town of Cape Elizabeth.
