Cape Elizabeth Public Safety is participating in the CodeRed emergency messaging system.

CodeRed is a high speed mass notification system that delivers messages via your telephone. This is a geographically based system alerting residents only in the affected area.

Alerts could be for severe weather, road closures, criminal activity, fires, evacuations, missing persons, or whatever Public Safety message needs to be sent to residents of a certain area.

These alerts are issued from the Cumberland County Regional Communications Center with the cooperation of Cape Elizabeth Public Safety.

CodeRed is free and regisration is simple. Just click the "CodeRed" icon: sign up for CodeRed and follow the instructions.

There is also a CodeRed Mobile App that can be downloaded for free to your smartphone from ITunes or Google Play.

We at Cape Elizabeth Public Safety are asking that residents please sign up for CodeRed so that in the event that an alert is sent out, you will be informed. Should you require further information please contact us at 207-767-3323.

Thank You,

Chief Neil R. Williams, Cape Elizabeth Police Department
